What is a Lace Front Unit?
Lace Front units are wigs made with a mesh-like lace material in the front, around the edges or all over in which individual hair strands are hand-tied to the base. The lace is designed to blend in with your own scalp creating a natural, realistic looking hairline. When properly worn, with special adhesives, the hairline can be so realistic looking and virtually undetectable, giving the appearance of hair growing naturally from your scalp.
Can I wear a Lace Front if I have natural hair?
Although these units was designed almost a decade ago for chemo patients and those losing their hair from different medical conditions, women everywhere no matter their hair condition are wearing them. You will have to wear your hair as flat as possible (i.e. in cornrows or molded down) underneath.
Does the type of base material I choose affect how I should order my direction?
Yes. If you have an all lace base, those knots will rotate with nothing more than a hairbrushing. You can order an all-lace piece to be back, forward, freestyle or with a left or right break, and then change your mind, as long as you don't order a defined part. But if you choose a base made from thinskin, you have to carefully choose the correct direction and crown position in the first place because if the unit is made to go forward, it will be harder to make the hairs do a u-turn and go back.
I wear my hair back, should I order back or freestyle for direction?
You could wear a freestyle unit back, but if you always wear your hair back, back will be easier to manage.
What exactly is Freestyle?
The hair on a lace freestyle unit can be styled in any direction with just a hairbrush. It's like your own hair. You can have a left part one day and have it all straight back the next. Part it anywhere. A thinskin freestyle base will have a center crown and all the hair will point away from that crown. It will be more like a forward unit, so if you want it to go sideways or back, or stick straight up away from the scalp, then order your thinskin unit that way to start with.
Do certain bases work better with certain styles?
If you want to take full advantage of your all lace unit, choose Freestyle. You can usually re-style a lace base with nothing more than a hairbrush. Ultimately, this is an individual decision.
Lace Front vs. Full Lace
Lace Front wigs have lace only in the front, creating a realistic and natural looking hairline. Full Lace wigs contain lace throughout & around the entire base making it possible to wear your unit in a high ponytail & the ability to part or section the hair anywhere throughout the entire unit.
Can I wear my Lace Front unit in a ponytail?
Yes, simply request lace or thin skin all around the unit.
Can I go swimming with my Lace Front unit?
Yes, you can continue to do your usual activities with the unit on. Please avoid swimming or getting the unit wet with water or sweat for 24 hours after applying adhesives or tapes. Remember you must treat your natural hair after being exposed to chlorine.
I have lost all of my natural hair… Can I wear a lace front?
Absolutely! Whether you have experienced hair loss due to chemotherapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, burns, etc., we can help you get your customized unit.
Can I curl or flat iron my Lace Front?
Yes, this hair is 100% human and can be styled the same way you would do your own natural hair.
How long does it take to get my wig after the order is placed?
Generally takes about 4-6 weeks to receive your custom lace wig from the time we receive your order.
What if I do not like my unit, can I return it?
No. All sales are final due to hygienic reasons. In addition, your wig is customized just for you so it would be extremely difficult to resale it to another client.
How long will my Lace Front wig last?
With proper care, your lace wig can last about a year.
What is the best cap design for me?
Each person has their own specific design needs based on their individual lifestyles.

Do you keep any units in stock?
No. We offer only 100% customizable lace wig systems. Everyone is created different therefore one size fit all stock unit; small, medium & large are not guaranteed to fit.
How do I attach my Lace Front unit?
Each Attachment method depends on adhesive product you choose. Complete attachment, detachment & maintenance instructions are included with the order.
Liquid Adhesive vs. Tape Adhesive
Whether you choose to attach your unit with an adhesive or tape, it's up to you. Both adhesives and tapes offer daily, weekly and monthly attachments that can be used for the lace or thin skin units. Be sure to purchase the C-22 solvent and a "lace release" to remove the unit. Please make note that daily/weekly attachment methods cause more wear and tear on your hair system and it is a good idea to have a back-up unit.
